Merry Christmas from SXC

So, with a white Christmas looking less and less likely, I’m sure there will be a few letters up the chimney asking for mudguards and overshoes!

But a little bit of rain shouldn’t stop a good ride out on the bike. Some of the best days out on the hills have been in torrential rain, sleet and mud. As long as you can come off to a nice strong coffee or hot chocolate (preferably fortified with a dram), a long hot shower and some warm dry clothes there’s no reason to be stuck indoors just because of the weather.

And, what better way to work off the Christmas calories?

And, what better time to start winter training for the Puffer? …..well, 6 months ago would have been better but that would have been far too radical….

So that’s the close of another successful year for SXC and all our riders. Whether you’ve been on the podium or propping it up, I hope you’ve enjoyed the season. We’ve certainly enjoyed seeing you at the six outstanding venues, each with their own unique character.

We’re already looking forward to the 2016 season. We’re well ahead with our dates and venues with Entries already open on the BC website. And, it’s really encouraging to see so many names on the entry list already.

Since the close of the season, we’ve had some fantastic offers of help for next year – a huge “thank you” to riders, friends and parents for coming forward to share the workload – it’s really appreciated.

And none more so than Heather Shanks, the talent behind our new web site. I’m absolutely amazed that she has managed to put a modern, fresh site together in such a short time. Have a browse around it, it’s fantastic and was long overdue.

So, time to wish you all a very Merry and Healthy Christmas and great New Year. If we don’t see you before, I’m sure we’ll be bumping in to many of you at the Puffer. Pop in to see us – 1st corner as usual J

All the very best,

Steve, Morven, Tracy, Fish and Jason
