So what's happening?

Right now, not that much unfortunately. We know we've been quiet of late, but you can probably work out why!

Normally at this point in the year, we'd have our dates and venues in place for next season, and be hard at work lining everything up and making sure the courses are as sweet as they can be... but these are not normal times.

We're really keen to get back to racing as soon as possible next year but it's impossible to predict how things will look in a few months' time. The venues and landowners we work with are understandably reluctant to make any firm plans at this stage. British and Scottish Cycling have worked hard to deliver guidance on how to run events as safely as possible, but the changes involved go way beyond altered sign-on procedures and a ban on spectators. The changing guidance and legislation from government may - in future - provide some level of exemption for organised sport but we want our events to be seen in a positive light and match the mood of the country, so although we may technically be able to start running events in the Spring, we might choose to delay doing so until it feels right.

As a result, we don't expect to be in a position to run events until late April/early May at the earliest. Our 2021 season will start later than normal and possibly finish later in the year as a result, and will likely feature fewer rounds than a normal season would. Rest assured though, we'll be working hard to make it the very best it can be!

Some good news though - our headline sponsor Shimano are kindly supporting us again, as are the majority of our prize sponsors, including Squirt, Buff and Terraventure.

In the meantime, stay safe, ride as much as you can and enjoy the holidays!
