Back in school!

A bike race happened!

Thanks to everyone who came along and got stuck in yesterday, we really hope you enjoyed yourselves.

Results below! We did warn you beforehand that we had no chip timing and results would be determined the old-fashioned way, so we might not be able to give everyone a result, but we hadn't taken into account the skills of finish line ninjas Morven and Matt! A huge thank you to them for being brave enough to take the job on and doing it so well.

The team would like to offer a huge thank you to the Total Legends who braved the conditions(!) and took up marshal points throughout the day. Several people changed their plans to give up their time and help us out and we couldn't be more grateful. It's often said races can't happen without marshals and it's true. Thank you guys.

We'd also like to thank Andrea and Dom, our commissaire team - cool as cucumbers all weekend and builders of the best start grid you'll ever see. They're volunteers too you know!

The changed format was a bit of a shot in the dark, with the main aim of giving as many people as possible the opportunity to race, and for those races to offer a good racing experience within the confines of the Covid guidelines. We'd love to know what you think worked well and what we could improve on. Let us know here, on Facebook, or by emailing info@sxc.org.uk

We'll hopefully be able to bring you news on our next event shortly, but in the meantime thanks for coming out yesterday. It was so nice to see you all!

Your SXC team
