We’ve been deep in thought and discussion, looking at the race calendar and there really is no other weekend that we can deliver Glentress as a re-scheduled round. So SXC 2018 has to become a 5 race Series rather than 6 and we have opted to use Glentress as the venue for the last round instead of Laggan as there is no local club there as event organisers . Massive apologies to the Northern clubs - we will try again next year!

There are large drifts across the main road from Peebles to Glentress . Conditions are Arctic in the Wigwam field with large drifts accumulated in the Car parks and some parts of the course .
We could attempt to clear the course but no point if it’s unsafe to drive here , unsafe to park and unsafe to be hanging about in significant wind chill . Bare with us while we come up with an alternative plan . Don’t call

Scottish Cross-Country (SXC) is a series of six off-road mountain bike races, run from March to September. One of the races will include the Scottish Championships. The series has races from age 12 to Super-Vet (60+). There is also an Under-12s short race at each round. General information: Race day schedule can be found at the bottom of the page.
